About this tool
This tool reports both a calendar-style difference and a fixed total-day count. It automatically treats the earlier date as the start date.
How to use it
- Select the first date.
- Select the second date.
- Select Calculate difference.
Calendar difference and elapsed days
Calendar years and months are counted first, followed by remaining days. Total days is calculated separately because months and years have different lengths.

Good to know
Weekend days are counted as Saturdays and Sundays in the elapsed interval. Public holidays are not included.

Can I enter the dates in reverse order?
Yes. The calculator automatically identifies the earlier date.
Are both dates included?
The total is elapsed time from the start date to the end date; the start date is not counted as an extra full day.
Does it count public holidays?
No.
