Fuel average formula
Fuel average (km/L) = Distance travelled (km) ÷ Fuel used (litres)For example, 260 km divided by 26.5 litres gives approximately 9.81 km/L.
How the good or bad comparison works
The tool compares your result with an indicative range for the selected model and driving condition. It then reduces the comparison range when you select AC use, a hilly route or a heavy load. These adjustments are practical estimates rather than official manufacturer testing.
Use the full-tank method for a better result
- Fill the tank and reset the trip meter.
- Drive a meaningful distance under normal conditions.
- Refill the tank to the same level.
- Divide the trip distance by the litres added.
- Repeat across several tanks before judging the car.
