Letter case affects readability, tone and consistency. A converter can quickly normalize text copied from different sources.

Uppercase

Uppercase changes every letter to a capital. It is useful for short labels but can be difficult to read in long paragraphs.

Lowercase

Lowercase removes capitals. It can help reset inconsistent text before another style is applied.

Title case

Title case capitalizes important words in a heading. Style guides differ on which short words remain lowercase, so formal publishing may require manual review.

Sentence case

Sentence case capitalizes the beginning of a sentence and normally leaves most other words lowercase. Proper names may still need manual capitalization.

Alternating and inverse case

These styles are mostly decorative. They are not recommended for formal or accessible content.
